Holistic wellness is a multidimensional approach to well-being that considers an individuals physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Sleep, digestion, state of mind, and muscle balance are foundational building blocks for your state of being. If any of them become out of balance for too long, so do you. The benefits of massage are vast. Just a few of these benefits are improved sleep, greater relaxation, reduced physical tension and pain, productive digestion, and improved mood. Studies also show that people who receive regular massage also experience reduced depression, reduced anxiety, and mild to profound relief from chronic pain syndromes such as arthritis and fibromyalgia. All of these benefits are stepping stones towards balance in holistic wellness.

Why KM Massage & Bodywork?

Katya Miller is a massage therapist with a passion for helping people live better through finding balance in their body. As a practitioner with a background in dance and acrobatics it became a personal goal to maximize her own personal health and wellness in her own body so that she could be the best that she could be in her performance arts. After a near fatal car accident in 2022 she had many musculoskeletal injuries that prevented her from enjoying her passions. After finding massage therapy she was able to find relief from many of her injuries and within a year she was able to continue her dancing to the point of being able to perform professionally for the first time in her life.

Seeing first hand the profound effects that massage can have on the body, both physically and emotionally, she felt called to pursue massage therapy as a career so that she could share with others the same healing and care that she received through therapeutic touch. Through her education at Chico Massage School she acquired knowledge in many modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial, sports massage, prenatal, trigger point, and hot stone therapy. She is constantly seeking to expand her knowledge in these modalities as well as new ones so that she can provide greater care and healing for her clientele.
